Cumann na mBunscoil

Congratulations to St Johns PS, Kingsisland who qualified for the Tyrone Primary School Indoor hurling Final. This little school has always had a grá for the ancient game and actively promotes it. Its a common sight each breaktime to see the children pucking a sliothar around. They were narrowly beaten in the final by Barrack St, Strabane.  Maith Sibh.

N.C.C.C.C.  3
Cold, wet, grey and miserable, perfect cycling weather! Nobody said it was going to be easy!  The most important thing when building a cycling base is getting out regularily : "more often is better than more miles."

It is important to try and get out every week. It is best to have a set time for going out each week and try to stick to it. At the same time you need to have some flexibility; if for some reason you just can't get out at your usual time then try to slot in another time rather than missing the whole week.

This week you should try a 10 mile circuit on quiet roads. Cycle at a pace you enjoy and can maintain, don't push it. Remember you are training for a marathon not a sprint.
