Na Sinsir (Seniors)
The seniors collected another brace of points in the Ulster league when Setanta conceded last Wed night. Our two remaining homes games
look unlikely to be played, leaving us finishing in 2nd or 3rd place. A grand total of 5 competitive games in the 4 months from the 30th March to the 30th July.

The second senior c'ship round robin game took place last night (Mon 4 Aug 2014) against Dún Geanainn in O'Neill Park on a nice, dry evening. We lost 0-9 to 1-13. It was a draw at half-time 0-7 to 1-4 with the Eoghan Ruadh goal slinking in from a sideline puck 3 mins from the whistle. We put in a good effort in this half but the shooting was nothing short of woeful.
In the second half, Dún Geanainn were the dominant side for the first 15 mins, hiting five or six points without reply. Instead of trying to break the sequence with a point or two, the Cilles fell into a rut. We did rally a bit in the last 15 but the score gap, our lack of movement in the forwards outside of Rory, and the poor wides from frees and play remained.
In truth, its hard to read into this game as its all shadow play before the semi-finals, with the Cilles playing either Dungannon or Carrickmore.
The last round robin game is pencilled in for Sat 16th Aug away to Carrickmore at a time tbc.

The minors play their championship semi-final against An Charraig Mhór this Sun 10 Aug at 12 noon in Garvaghy. Recent challenge games against Ballinascreen and Lavey have aided preparations for the game and the club wishes this young side and their coaches Éamonn McGirr and Damien Nixon all the best. Go n-éirí libh.
